TOPPENISH — Kevin Komstadius passed for 268 yards and four touchdowns, hitting Michael Rogstad and Kurt Russell with two scoring passes each, and Matt Orthmann ran for three TDs as East Valley held off the Wildcats.
Toppenish was within 36-28 going into the fourth quarter, thanks in large part to a pair of big scoring plays — a 90-yard kickoff return by Oscar Ramirez and an 85-yard interception runback by Joshua Schutz. Patrick Peters also hit David Osorio and Oscar Ramirez with fourth-quarter scoring passes.
But Orthmann's last two touchdown runs, of 11 and 7 yards, clinched the win for the Red Devils.
